Masha Ma


During her M.A. year at London Central Saint Martins in 2008, Masha Ma was already being trained at super fashion houses, such as Veronique Branquinho and Alexander McQueen before graduating. While still in school, Ma’s graduate collection was selected to showcase at Vauxhall Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week and was later purchased by B store, a fashion retail store founded by Jose Neves. Ma has been a finalist in multiple competitions that include the Lancôme Colour Designs Award 2006, the Chloé design competition, the Puma CSM Bursary Award and Fashion Fringe in 2009. In September 2009, she participated in the 2009 CCDC China Contemporary Design Contest and won the ‘Mouse Ji Best International Innovation Award’. Her work has been featured in Vogue, Harpar's Bazaar, Elle and many more.

Having launched her namesake label in 2008, Masha Ma's chic, avant-garde, and aesthetic design has soon gained a lot of attention. Based between Shanghai and Paris, Ma's collection is on Paris Fashion Week's schedule and several of her presentations have been bought out by boutiques such as Spiga 2, a Milanese-based boutique project store founded by Dolce & Gabbana, and Harvey Nichols in Hong Kong.
